We will be visiting Sligo between June 11 and June 14. Is there a nearby location that would be a good spot to see Puffins?

Great to hear you will be over with us in June!

Puffins return to the island of Ireland each year and are currently just into their breeding season.

There wouldn't be a location in County Sligo but nearby down the coast in Inishbofin Island, Connemara and also Clare Island, County Mayo would be a couple of places to try.

The Cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands, are also popular spots to see puffins if you venture down that way. If you fancy a drive up to County Donegal, Tory Island just off the north Donegal coast could be a good spot too and probably a far few other spots along this rugged coastline!

What has created your love of puffins and your quest to find some while with us? 💚
