Are Skibereen or Baltimore towns worth seeing/staying a few days as base camps for daytripping?

Hi Anthony,

I would say that both Skibereen and Baltimore are absolutely worth seeing/staying in while in Ireland.

You could stay a couple of days in each place or choose one in which to base yourself and visit the other on a daytrip. As they are only around 15 minutes away from each other by car, it's easy to enjoy all that both places have to offer.

Do you have interests in specific activities, hikes or heritage sites perhaps? I would then check what both towns have to offer to see if this fits in with your interests. You can find great accommodation options in both places, including hotels and B&Bs.

Some popular sites in West Cork include Fastnet Rock Lighthouse, The Baltimore Beacon, Mizen Head, and Bantry House.

Talk soon,
Eoin
