Hello,
I'm 44 and I live in the USA. Well I have recently found that I am of Irish ancestry. It really made my entire day! I love Ireland: it's history, the people and the beautiful Irish country-side..it has always fascinated me! I'm hoping I could trace my family tree more and find my Irish relatives. Can anyone recommend a place for me to start? Nice to meet everyone!

Hi Jessica,

It's great to hear that you have Irish roots! When it comes to tracing your Irish ancestry, I would say that the Ireland.com website is a great starting point, including the Genealogy page and the Irish Genealogy Resources page. I would also encourage you to check out the Ireland Family History page on Facebook.

If you have any specific queries about researching your family's roots in Ireland, don't hesitate to ask our Community here as there are many experts who may be able to assist you.

Regards,
Eoin
