Hi everyone, I'm planning a summer bike trip in Northern Ireland. Our plan is to bike down Causeway Coastal Route. Where can we rent a bike down there? Do you know if it possible to take a bike from one place and leave it in another one?
Thanks in advance

Hi Federica!

That sounds like an amazing trip. 😄🚲

For bike rentals along the Causeway Coastal Route, I'd recommend checking out places like:They are popular options for cyclists.

As for your question about one-way rentals, it may be a bit tricky as not all rental companies offer a drop-off service at a different location.
However, you might want to reach out to a few companies directly to ask if they can accommodate this request.

Alternatively, using public transport to get your bike back might be a good solution.
Northern Ireland has some great options for taking bikes on buses and trains, so that could be an easier way to manage the return trip.
Furthermore, here is some advice on everything you need to know to travel around Ireland by bike - and more information on bike rental services and taking your bike on public transport.

Hope this helps, and enjoy your cycling adventure!

Hi Federica!

I'm just adding to Elisa's excellent suggestions here! Alive Adventure has e-bikes and it sounds like Iron Donkey is more of a cycling tour company (self-guided tours with accommodation and itinerary sorted for you). Ireland by bike is based in County Donegal, so it's slightly outside of the Causeway Coastal Route, but it could be a great starting point.

Are you planning to cycle the entire coastal route from Belfast to Derry-Londonderry or just parts of it? I found this cycling itinerary and map to help you break the route down into various (and more scenic) segments.

Let us know how your plans are coming along. 😊

Antoine
