I just wanted to ask if people have also noticed that illegal dumping seems to be a huge problem across Ireland and getting worse every year. I was driving along rural roads in Co. Galway and Roscommon recently and never seen so much litter. Basically every metre there are plastic bottles, wrappings, cans or old debris at the side of the roads and nobody seems to care. Now the council cut grass and hedges and just shred the plastic into smaller pieces instead of removing it. Is there anything being done or how can one contact authorities to protect this beautiful country. I feel the people don't realise how it's being destroyed or have got so used to it that they don't see the issues.
