I went with the idea that I had a bucket list fill at age 76,and that was to take the trip to Ireland, but what it became for me was a trip through history that developed into a story that was told. The connection between Ireland and the US is so very strong more so than we ever could ever imagine my Great Great....Grandfather Thomas Whittemore was married to a woman by the name Hannah, who was born in Cork. The story goes through their lives and ends up in Boston, Massachusetts the year 1775 Samuel Whittemore was a descendent of Hannah and Thomas. He became known as one of the great Patriots during the battle of Concord on April 19,1775. The US is a land of nothing but immigrants and Ireland was the rock that held a lot of of the work infrastructure and cities together the moment that we as a nation stop the process of immigration we lose the fabric that is our nation Ireland, in my mind has become a land of imagination, hard work diligence and very good Guinness thank you for giving me the opportunity to spend some time in Ireland as you can tell my first stop when I went there was the Blarney castle so I'm going on, but I do love Ireland and I'm not sure of my heritage and whether I would be considered even a percentage of Irish, but for one reason or another Ireland has taught this Englishman to dance thank you. By did I mention the wonderful music.
