I plan to be in Ireland in April. Can I expect to find accommodations the day of or the day before, or do I need to book long in advance?
It would be nice to have flexibility.
I am looking in the medium price range.

Hi Thomas,

It's great to hear about your travel plans - April is such a lovely time, with nature starting to bloom everywhere on the island! 🌷🌿

In general, I tend to recommend advance booking of accommodation, to avoid disappointment. April is not usually our busiest time on the island, so you might be able to find accommodation that suits your preferences shortly in advance, but there is no guarantee. Perhaps looking at flexible booking options (e.g. flexible cancellation policies) might be worth considering to keep some flexibility. Alternatively, you could get in touch directly with a couple of accommodation providers of your choice, and inquire about their experience and recommendations.

This page can help you find lovely places to stay, you can set several filters in the middle of the page to refine your search. You could also look into B&B Ireland and self-catering accommodation.

What are some places you're hoping to visit in Ireland?

Good luck with your search!

Hi Thomas,

Rebecca said it all and I'm sure you'll have an amazing trip!

Note that the Easter holidays fall between April 11 and 28 this year in the Republic of Ireland, so it might be busier than usual in April. I would then book accommodation in advance for some peace of mind.

Let us know about your itinerary and we'll gladly help you out.

Cheers,
Antoine
