Thanks for sharing this, really helpful! Ireland honestly feels like such a dream spot for a wedding with all those castles and coastlines. The advice about working with a local planner makes a lot of sense too. it must save a ton of stress. Quick question though, do most couples usually plan a year or more ahead, or is it possible to arrange something a bit last-minute?

Hi Steve , It ' s nice to see that a wedding in Ireland sparks your interest ! 💕✨ It ' s true that there are so many unique locations to choose from ... The intention to get married needs to be registered at least three months before your wedding date in the Republic of Ireland , and around eight weeks in Northern Ireland -& nbsp ; to be on the safe side , it would be even better to do so much earlier . If you are travelling from overseas , an option could be to & nbsp ; do the legal paperwork in your home country and have a wonderful symbolic ceremony on the island of Ireland . You could still decide to include some magical traditional elements. If you are keen on working with a wedding planner , I would recommend you contact some directly , to find out how much time they require to organise everything around your special day . You can find more helpful tips in this article. I hope your wedding day will be an absolutely amazing experience , wherever you decide to celebrate it . 💚 Best wishes , Rebecca

Hi Steve , Many thanks for your question . Some couples can plan as far out as 2 years but as we specialize in planning intimate elopements in Ireland for international couples most of our couples are planning 2 - 3 months out . We ' ve often planned elopements from scratch with a few weeks notice . Our record is planning an elopement with 5 days notice . If there is anything else I can help you with please feel free to contact me . Have a great day . Take care .
