I am traveling to Ireland with my family (8 adults, 3 children, 1 baby) from April 16-28, 2025. We will stay in Dublin from the 17th to the 21st and Galway from the 22nd to the 26th. We are interested in taking a couple of day trips to explore areas beyond Galway and Dublin, and I wanted to see if anyone had recommendations for companies to help us with this.

Hi Kate,

Thanks for joining us here, it sounds like quite the large family group heading our way! ☺️

There are several tour operators that run day tours out of Dublin and also Galway. From Dublin, there would be Paddywagon Tours, Irish Day Tours, and Wild Rover Tours. 🚌

For Galway, Lally Tours, Galway Tour Company, and Paddywagon Tours again have tours from the city. In addition, if you fancy a day on the Aran Islands, there is the Doolin Ferry Co. and also Aran Island Ferries. ⛴️

In addition, we have plenty of trip ideas for your time in and around Dublin and Galway itself. Using public transport from Dublin, you can get out to the surrounding area if you want a day discovering just as a family.

For any transport options between Dublin and Galway, Transport for Ireland has a handy journey planner to help with the services available.

Hopefully, this will give you a start to put your itinerary in place for your time with us.

Will this be the first time over with us? ☘️
