Hi Steven!
It's great to hear you're planning a trip this April! Do you already have an idea of what you'll be seeing and doing?
Regarding getting internet on your phone, the simplest choice is using your U.S. carrier’s international plan, which keeps things hassle-free. You should however get in touch with your provider first to check what the rates are. You could alternatively opt for buying a local SIM card on arrival. This is usually a great way to get plenty of data for a lower cost (and perhaps more interesting if your trip is on the longer end). For an even easier setup, an eSIM lets you activate a local plan instantly without swapping SIMs.
Please also note that offline maps (Google Maps, Maps.me) can help reduce data usage by downloading maps in advance on Wi-Fi.
You'll also find some additional information about making calls when in Ireland on
our website here.
I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions or need some travel tips!
