Hello!  I am looking for recommendations for a small group tour company for a day trip starting/ending in Belfast and touring the Giants Causeway, stopping at Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, the Dark Hedges, Dunluce Castle, etc. The trip is planned for late April 2026 and there are two of us. Thank you in advance for any recommendations you may offer.

Hello Elizabeth,

I'm delighted to hear about your upcoming trip and that you're hoping to explore some of Northern Ireland's gems! 😊

There are some great day tour companies to choose from. Group sizes can vary from company to company, as well as the exact itinerary - some even include a few more highlights along your way. I would recommend you check out the individual itineraries and details via the links below (in no specific order):

Since you mentioned you prefer a small group, an option worth considering might be hiring a private chauffeur/guide. One of Belfast's taxi companies, for example, provides taxi tours that include the locations you listed. Find more companies listed here.

Unfortunately, the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge is no longer accessible with a group tour. You might be able to include it in your itinerary if you choose a private chauffeur; otherwise, if you're planning to stay in Belfast longer, you could get there via public transport too. I'd be happy to share more details, should this be an option for you! 🚍

It would also be great to hear more about your plans - are you considering staying in Belfast for some time, or are there any more places on the island you're hoping to discover?

Hello Elizabeth!

It's lovely to hear about your sightseeing plans for your trip next April.

As mentioned by Rebecca, there are lots of great day tour companies to choose from with varied itineraries. You've mentioned there are two of you so might I suggest some tours/tour guides which can be tailored to your individual needs and provide a bespoke experience.

The Tours and Tour Guides section of our Visitor Guide for Causeway Coast and Glens provides such information. Please see the following link: www.visitcausewaycoastandglens.com

Hopefully you find this information useful in your planning and wishing you an enjoyable trip when the time comes!

Thank you, Rebecca and Alison, for your recommendations and the links for me to research options.  I think that we are leaning toward a private driver for the two of us so we can be sure to experience the top places on our wish list.  : ). We will be staying in Belfast for two nights so we can spend one full day exploring the city and then one traveling the causeway.

Thanks again. ~Elizabeth

Hi Elizabeth,

I just stumbled across this thread and I'm so glad I did—I'm taking notes!

That sounds like an absolutely perfect plan. A private driver means maximum flexibility and ensures you get to hit every spot on your wish list. A big thanks to Alison as well for that link to the Causeway Coast & Glens guide.

I'm actually planning my own trip just a couple of weeks after yours. If you have any insights or tips from your trip, I'd personally love if you came back to share them here in the Community. It would be a great inspiration for my own travel. 😊

Have the best time in Belfast and along the Coast! 💚

- Karan
