Hi, I’d like to have information about doing a hike (in the morning, afternoon, or for a full day) to see Sally Gap, Lower Lake, or Lough Tay. I’m also interested in visiting the filming locations of PS I Love You. Do you have any excursions for this between January 5 and 7?T
Thank you for your reply.

Bonjour Anthony,

How nice that you are planning a Wicklow day trip! I did one myself and would be happy to help you out 😊

If you prefer to be independent, an option would be to take the bus to the Wicklow Mountains with St. Kevin's Bus and start your hike from there (Roundwood if you want to be closer to Lough Tay, or Glendalough for the Lower & Upper Lakes). You would then have the freedom to pick a trail and then get the bus back to Dublin. For more info on hikes in the region, the Visit Wicklow website has a dedicated section. I'd personally pick the Spinc loop in Glendalough (3.5 hours, stunning views above the lake)

If you are looking for an organized tour with some hiking possibilities, I'd recommend Hilltop Treks, which offers guided walks in the Wicklow Mountains. Paddywagon's Wicklow half-day tour is another option (the one I did). You'll get to see Lough Tay, the Sally Gap (from PS. I Love You) and have two hours at Glendalough for a hike around the lake or in the woods.

Let us know which option suits you better, and happy planning! ⛰

A bientôt !
Antoine
