Hi Anne-Marie, thanks for joining us here with your post about looking for family members in Cork! ☘️

The first question is, how far back in time are you looking for, as this will determine where to start looking. There are some handy threads on the community on Irish Family History that you may wish to look at to get a feel for where the information will be. The John Grenham website on Irish Surnames lists the Larkin surname under the Mallow Parish for the nineteenth century. Maybe these could be some of your relatives! 💚

It's a few months off, but the 1926 census is due to be released by the National Archives in April. This is a much awaited release as the previous one was from 1911. Would your family have been in County Cork during that time?
