Hi  We are visiting for 10 days & using transfer/tour companies from Dublin to Cork, then Cork to Killarney & Killarney to Galway and finally Galway back to a hotel south of the airport in Dublin.   Are tours still able to go?  Has the petrol stations got fuel?  Will they go back to protesting on May 2nd as planned?  How will the protests affect our visit?  Can we join the protesters when we are in Dublin and show support?  Slainte  Dayton

Hello Dayton,

How lovely that you will be visiting the island of Ireland soon! The tour you have planned sounds wonderful.

I understand your concerns about the current news regarding fuel, and I'm happy to provide an update.

Fuel availability at petrol stations across the island has returned to normal. Forecourts are operating as usual, and any remaining fuel shortages are isolated in nature. Based on current information, visitors can expect petrol stations across Ireland to be open and operating normally. Further protests have not yet been officially confirmed, and we hope there won’t be any disruption to your trip.

We wish you a wonderful tour of our island, and hope that immersing yourself in the local culture, landscapes and lively pubs will alleviate worries about current events. A warm welcome awaits you! On our website, you can read about what a typical month of May in Ireland looks like.

Should you have any other questions, please feel free to come back here. For now, enjoy your Ireland trip!

Vera
