We are flying into Knock Airport in early September to visit friends and have a good look around Connemara. Where could we stay within 1 hour of the Airport, off the road to Clifden, and where else around Ballyconneely where our friends live. We’re happy with hotels/guest houses and B&B. Thank you.

HI Paul,
It's lovely to hear that you will be here with us and exploring Connemara! ☺️

For accommodation ideas, I would like to suggest that you take a look at our website's accommodation page. Just scroll down to the Where do you want to stay section and use the filters to refine your search. I have pre-selected Counties Galway and Mayo to get you started. Just add an accommodation type to further refine your search. There is also the B&B Ireland's website and the Discover Ireland website for search options for accommodation.

For things to do in Connemara and the surrounding area, Westport, Cong, and Kylemore Abbey would be lovely places to explore during your time with us. Is there anything already on your itinerary that you have planned to see and do?
