I’m currently planning an upcoming trip to Ireland and am looking for some local advice on accommodation.

Due to a disability, having access to an in-room hot tub, Jacuzzi, or deep jetted soaking tub is a physical necessity for me to manage pain and recover after a day of sightseeing. In the past, I’ve relied on niche directories like hotelhottubs.com to locate these types of rooms, but they don't currently have listings indexed for Ireland. I’ve found that standard booking engines tend to lump shared hotel spa pools together with actual private room amenities, making it tricky to verify what's actually inside the suite before booking.

We are flexible on the location (Dublin, the Wild Atlantic Way, or the countryside), but we are specifically looking for: In-room Jacuzzi / whirlpool / jetted tub. The tub must be physically located inside the suite (not a shared pool on the spa deck).Good overall accessibility: Ground-floor access, roll-in showers, or wider doorways are a huge plus!

Does anyone know of specific hotels, boutique stays, or resorts in Ireland that offer accessible suites with a private jetted tub? Alternatively, if there are local Irish accessibility directories or booking services you’d recommend for finding verified ADA/wheelchair-accessible rooms with specific bath setups, I’d love to hear about them!

Thank you so much in advance for your help!

Hi Ross,

Many thanks for letting us know of your plans to come and visit the island of Ireland!

As you mentioned, when looking for jacuzzi/jet baths in accommodation, you are often greeted with spa hotels and accommodation more specific to quirky or romantic getaways.

There is a website for Disabled Friendly Hotels, which may be a good place to start for accommodation information. They have a contact page where you could ask for more specific information regarding the bath needs. The Irish Wheelchair Association also has a contact page that may have some advice too.

Some hotels that offer in-room hot tub/jacuzzi baths would be The Midlands Park Hotel, Co Laois, The Chancery Hotel, Dublin, and The Twelve Hotel, Co Galway.

I hope this gives you something to look at; the combination of accessibility and bath needs is quite specific.
