Hello,

I am on temporary work visa for a teaching job in Belfast (September 2026 to May 2027). I am having a lot of difficulty finding an accommodation for one person for a short lease - everywhere seems to have a 12-month minimum. I've looked on airbnb, Zoopla, propertynews, property pal and spareroom. Any advice would be greatly appreciated !!

Kindest regards,

Adèle

Hi Adele,

Thanks for getting in touch. I'd suggest contacting the organisation you’ll be working for, as they may be able to offer advice on local accommodation options or point you towards useful resources and contacts.

You could also look into local community or accommodation groups on Facebook, where short-term rentals and rooms may sometimes be advertised. You may also find useful information through Citizens Advice.

I hope you find somewhere suitable and have a wonderful time in Belfast.

Regards,
Eoin
