My mum's family name of Cudmore, I have been told came from Limerick.  Can you tell me what region, and are there people of that name still residing there?
I am an elderly lady, interested in my mum's family.  Daniel Cudmore came to Adelaide, via Sydney & Tasmania.  My great grandfather built Paringa Hall (now Sacred Heart College) in Somerton, South Australia.  I would like to know more of my Irish family history.  Many thanks.

Thank you for sharing your family story with us. It sounds like you have a wonderful family history to explore, and we hope you’re able to discover more about your Cudmore connections in Ireland.

As you’ve been told that your family came from Limerick, Limerick Local Studies may be a good place to start. Their team may be able to point you towards useful family history resources and help you learn more about the area your ancestors came from.

I wish you the very best with your research, and hope you enjoy discovering more about your Irish family connections.

Regards,
Eoin
