Cudmore family

My mum's family name of Cudmore, I have been told came from Limerick.  Can you tell me what region, and are there people of that name still residing there?
I am an elderly lady, interested in my mum's family.  Daniel Cudmore came to Adelaide, via Sydney & Tasmania.  My great grandfather built Paringa Hall (now Sacred Heart College) in Somerton, South Australia.  I would like to know more of my Irish family history.  Many thanks.

John Grenham’s Irish Ancestors website records that in the mid-19th century there were 13 Cudmore households in Ireland; 5 in County Limerick, 4 in Cork, 3 in Clare and 1 in Dublin. 

County Limerick’s database on Rootsireland.ie website records 74 baptismal/birth entries for Cudmore, of which 6 were of a Dan/Daniel Cudmore in the years 1835, 1836, 1842, 1850, 1890 and 1892. 

Edward MacLysaght’s 'More Irish Families' (Irish Academic Press, Dublin, 1996) states that the name Cudmore "came to Ireland from the west of England where it was formerly of note in Devon and Somerset. Paul Cudmore was Controller of the Pipe in 1655 and from that time there have been Cudmore families in County Cork….At the present time the name is found mainly among the professional and commercial community in the city of Cork and, I may add, we have Catholic farmers called Cudmore in east Clare."
