Hi all,
Planning my first trip to Ireland for about a week in late April. Thinking Galway, Connemara and the Cliffs of Moher.
Is the weather usually okay then? And are the roads quiet enough for a first-timer driving on the left?
Thanks!

Hi, It's lovely to hear that you have plans to come over and see us for a road trip! 🚗

Late April is a lovely time to visit. From a weather point of view, it is usually quite nice; enjoy some April showers and sunshine and rainbows, of course, just pack a coat and go about your travels as usual. We have a temperate climate, so not too hot or too cold. 🌤️

The Wild Atlantic Way has many great places to visit, so Galway, Connemara, and the Cliffs of Moher will be great spots to include in your itinerary. For accommodation, please have a look at our website. Just scroll down to the where do you want to stay section and use the filters to refine your search by location and/or type.

Driving in Ireland for your first time should be okay around this time of year as it's before the usual high season. Maybe choose a smaller car than you are used to and ask about automatic options as well.

Hope this helps; feel free to get back to us if you need more help! ☺️
