Feeling hungry? If you’re not now, you will be when you visit the city of Cork. This vibrant town has a perfect blend of food establishments, from favourites frequented by the lively locals, to up and coming boutique eateries.

They say that, if you want to eat the best food, go where the locals eat – so when you come to Cork, make your way to Café Paradiso. This restaurant is a delight – with a vegetarian menu that’s sure to have even die-hard carnivores drooling, it’s a great stop. We recommend the pumpkin gnocchi with Cratloe Hills sheep’s cheese. Another local gem is the atmospheric Farmgate Café – call in at lunch and tuck into a bowl of their warming fresh fish chowder. It just doesn’t get any better.

If you want to try some of the up and coming restaurants in Cork, look no further than Salt – this wine bar has a really relaxed feel. Come here after a day spent exploring the city, and tuck in to the crispy homemade falafel, flavoursome beetroot carpaccio and traditional tortilla del sol! And if you’re looking for something to sink your teeth into, try the ribeye steak at the Elbow Lane Brew & Smoke House, alongside some of their unique beers.

Finally, no trip to Cork is complete for any foodie without a visit to the English Market. Open from 8am until 6pm every day of the week except Sunday, this mix of traders serve up everything from fresh fruit and veg, to excellent cuts of meat, baked creations and handmade chocolates. Pick up all the ingredients you need for a picnic, and head to the banks of the River Lee to enjoy your goodies!

Hi,
When it comes to deciding what you wish you eat and the best places to eat in Cork, it all depends on what you fancy. I will assume you are not in for the usual foods and you are looking to have a taste of best local menus instead of the over priced delicatessens.

You can always look at Cafe Paradiso and other best places to eat in Cork. You will never find any other comprehensive list.

I hope this is helpful.
