Ciao a tutti! Grazie in anticipo dell'attenzione, Marica

Hello Marica. It 'a great pleasure to have you in our community! The Wicklow Way is one of the oldest and long trails of Ireland. For starters, you could take a peek at this site that contains useful information on this path and in addition there are maps to download. In addition, the site wicklowway.com can find further descriptions and links on where to stay during your excursion. As you will notice, the stretch Knockree - Glendalough is 31 km long and is of medium grade, so it is to be divided in two days: the first day you take Knockree - Roundwood , while the second is dedicated to Roundwood - Glendalough .By the way, the route is marked north-south direction from yellow signs, is frequented mostly between May and July, and along the way there is the possibility of stopping in hostels and B & B that are listed in the two sections above. Therefore, it might be a good idea to stop and continue the walk in two or more times, what do you think? I hope I have helped you, and keep us updated on planning your vacation. If someone else wants to share their experience and would like to add additional suggestions for Marica is more than welcome! See you soon and good day. Francis

Marica

Hello Marica, The period of late August / early September is still summer. It might rain a bit 'more, but the days are still long and take full advantage for beautiful mountain walks. Regardless of when you embark on the journey, what advise on the official site is to be aware of the expected weather conditions every day. If you want to feel more comfortable and enjoy the adventure without much thought, you should contact one of the local tour operators that offer packages and services to help you make the most of this fantastic location. Keep us updated on the planning of your holiday and do not hesitate to write to us again if I have doubts or questions.Have a nice day. Marcella
