Best Route to Killarney from Dublin + top sites on Ring of Kerry and Dingle Peninsula?

We are traveling from Dublin to Killarney in mid September and plan to use this city to explore the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle Peninsula.
We only have 3 days to travel there and see the sites.
We thought the coastal route would be the most interesting way to reach Killarney with a stop at 1 or 2 places on the way, 
Or, is there a better route?
Once we reach Killarney we will have the next day to visit sites on the Ring of Kerry and the following day to take in sites on the Dingle Peninsula.  Our plan is to catch a ferry that same afternoon to see the Cliffs of Moher.
We recognize that this is trying to pack much into a few days but am hopeful someone will have some tips/suggestions on how to make it the most enjoyable.
I would greatly appreciate any comments relating to this plan!

It's so exciting that you're almost here! Driving along the Wild Atlantic Way to Killarney sounds like a great idea! You could start by driving from Dublin to Galway, and then work your way down to County Kerry along the coast. This is about a 5 hour drive in total without stopping, so you'll have time to see the sights along the way. 

Alternatively, if you decide to cross straight over to the west from Dublin it will take you almost 4 hours, and you can stop at the Rock of Cashel along the way. It also takes you through the beautiful Ancient East of Ireland and County Tipperary. 

The Ring of Kerry is great for a day trip, and if you get the chance you can check out the Beara Peninsula below it as well. 

The quickest way from the Dingle Peninsula to the Cliffs of Moher is by ferry, so this is definitely a good idea! :) It takes around 30 minutes to get there, and it's a great way to see the cliffs and local wildlife. The puffins are still here in September, so hopefully you'll get to see them too!
