Are there pre planned /rescheduled HALLOWEEN tours that take you to haunted locations and let you spend a night or two in a (haunted) castle, as well as take you to the events in Dublin and London Derry for Halloween??
I never get a straight answer besides to "look at the community boards" which list nothing in the subject.
ANY info would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you

Hello Sean,

That sounds like a wonderful idea! I've had a look, and I couldn't find a specific tour that includes events in Derry-Londonderry or Dublin, but I have found some options which I think might be of interest.

Destination Ireland organises a tour around Ireland's most famous Haunted Castles. You can either drive yourself, or be chauffeured from castle to castle. Adams and Butler has a haunted houses tour available, so feel free to get in touch with them for the options as well.

Authentic Ireland's 8 day Haunted Ireland Castle tour comes closest to what you're looking for. On the itinerary you will find several haunted castle visits, including spending the night in one. The tour starts in Dublin and can be booked throughout Halloween, so you could combine it with events in the city.

Are you planning on visiting during this upcoming Halloween or next year? If there is anything else you need, please don't hesitate to reach out. We're always here to help!

Warm regards,

Melin

Hi Sean,

You mention about the possibility of going to Derry during the Halloween Festival and I thought you might like to know that it is easy to get there by train from Dublin or Belfast.  This could be an option if you can't find a specific tour to the various places you mention.  From Dublin Connelly Station take the train to Lanyon Place Train Station, Belfast and from there take the train to Derry.  This year the Halloween Festival runs from 26th October with the Carnival parade and Fireworks Finale taking place on the 31st.  There are plenty of great places to stay in Derry City.

The Causeway Coast and Glens region near Derry has a few haunted castles including Dunluce Castle in Portrush.  You could stay the night at the Ballygalley Castle Hotel or the Dobbins Inn in Carrickfergus, both are reputed to be haunted. Carrickfergus Castle is also worth getting a tour of. They are all located on the A2 Coastal Route travelling towards Belfast.

I hope this is helpful for organising your trip!

Regards,
 Anne

Just wondering if the party tours as listed by Anon will still be running for Halloween celebrations and fun.

Will be interesting to see what entertainment is hired for these spooky themed parties

Spooky entertainment can add an eerie and thrilling atmosphere to your Halloween event. Here are some ideas for spooky entertainers to hire for great party entertainment

Haunted House Actors: Transform your venue into a haunted house and hire actors to portray ghosts, ghouls, and monsters who interact with and startle your guests.

Fire Performers: Fire dancers can create an otherworldly and mystifying display with their flaming props, perfect for a Halloween night's entertainment.

Séance Host: Host a séance-themed experience with a skilled séance leader who can engage your guests in a spooky but entertaining exploration of the unknown.

Horror Movie Impersonators: Invite actors who can impersonate iconic horror movie characters, adding a dose of fright to your event.

What the Dickens with my formatting?

The preview looked nothing like this and when I tried to edit it made it double worse.

Hi James,

Thanks for your question! I also fixed the formatting of your post (which might have been cause by a copy paste issue).

Will you be celebrating Halloween with us this year? 🎃

Speaking of Halloween tours and activities, I don't know if the ones you found still run, but there are plenty of Halloween tours and events all over the island this year.

First of all, you'll find an overview of what's happening on the island this year right here. There is for instance the Ghostbus  and Gravedigger Ghost Tour in Dublin, the Crumlin Road Gaol tours, the Cork Ghost tour and Kilkenny Ghost tour, amongst others.

You can also have a look at this thread regarding the 2023 Halloween festivals if this is something you are interested in.

Talk soon,
Antoine
